I have been surfing on and off for 10 years. I am looking to make friends who surf in my local area as I don’t like going out by myself. I moved from Coffs Harbour a few years ago but unfortunately none of my friends here surf. Shoot me a message if you’re keen to go for a surf sometime, I usually go on the weekends & occasionally before work :)

Hey there, I'll be in Sydney for a couple of days and would love to try out surfing one of the many beaches over there. If anyone knows any good and easy spots to do so and is keen to catch up I'd love to hear back from you! Cheers Jeldrik

Hi, I've been surfing for a little while on a 7ft softboard. At the moment I surf at Maroubra after work (5:30) and on weekends. I was just looking for some buddies to surf with. Thanks William.

I have been surfing for the last three years. Started on an 8ft foamie and transitioned to a 6’10 hardboard about a year ago. My skill levels don’t yet reflect my enthusiasm for the sport and I get out surfing as much as I can, usually on the weekends. I prefer to drive a little further North to Dee Why, Narrabeen and Avalon to avoid the crowds. Looking for some partners in crime who also share the same passion!

I'm interested in joining in on some surfing with anyone who is either a beginner or is keen to show a newbie how it all works. I've only ever done it twice so I'm not very good :p I'm fairly new to Sydney so am looking for it to be a bit of a social thing that I can do from time to time! I can usually make myself free if I need to be on most week nights and weekends. Anywhere somewhat close to the CBD would be ideal. Cheers

About Surfing in Australia
Surfing is intrinsic to Australian coastal culture. Riding ocean waves on a surfboard, from gentle beach breaks to powerful reef breaks, demands balance, timing, fitness, and a deep respect for the ocean. Australia has produced some of the world's greatest surfers and most iconic surf destinations.
Getting Started
Surfing schools and surf lifesaving clubs across Australia run beginner lessons in safe, supervised conditions. Learning ocean safety and basic paddling and pop-up technique in small, broken waves is the recommended starting point. Soft-top boards are ideal for beginners.
Surfing in Australia
Australia's coastline offers world-class surf breaks from Bells Beach and Torquay in Victoria to Snapper Rocks and Kirra on the Gold Coast, Bondi Beach in Sydney, and Margaret River in Western Australia. Surfing Australia oversees competitive and recreational participation. Find surfing partners near you on Sports Match Maker.
